Privacy Policy
Last updated: 05.07.2026
This Privacy Policy explains how VertiRoll (“we”, “our”, or “us”) handles information when you use our app and visit our website.
VertiRoll is designed to be private by default. We do not collect, store, sell, or share your photos.
1. Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect:
your photos or videos
your photo library contents
your name
your email address
your contacts
your location
advertising identifiers
usage analytics for marketing or advertising
data for cross-app or cross-website tracking
Your photos remain on your device. VertiRoll only accesses your photo library locally to display your photos in the app. Your photos are not uploaded to our servers or to third-party services.
2. Debug and Error Data
To improve reliability and fix technical issues, we collect limited debug and error information through PostHog EU.
This may include:
error messages
crash or exception information
stack traces
app version
operating system version
device model
timestamps
technical diagnostic metadata
an anonymous technical identifier, if required to group errors
This information is used only to understand, diagnose, and fix bugs. We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, or tracking you across apps or websites.
We do not intentionally collect personal content through debug reports. However, error logs may sometimes contain limited technical context generated by the app or operating system.
3. Third-Party Service Provider
We use PostHog EU for debug and error reporting.
PostHog acts as a service provider/data processor and processes diagnostic data on our behalf. We use PostHog’s EU infrastructure where available.
Service provider:
PostHog, Inc.
Purpose: Debugging, error tracking, and technical diagnostics
Region: PostHog EU / European infrastructure where configured
Website: https://posthog.com
4. Legal Basis for Processing
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process debug and error data based on our legitimate interest in maintaining the security, stability, and functionality of VertiRoll.
You may object to this processing by contacting us using the email address below.
5. Data Retention
We keep debug and error data only for as long as reasonably necessary to identify, investigate, and fix technical issues.
After that, the data is deleted or anonymized unless we are legally required to keep it for a longer period.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data.
We only share limited debug and error data with PostHog as necessary to provide error tracking and diagnostic functionality. We do not share your photos, videos, or photo library contents with PostHog or any other third party.
7. International Data Transfers
Where personal data is processed outside your country or region, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by applicable data protection laws, such as data processing agreements and standard contractual clauses where applicable.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
request access to personal data we process about you
request correction or deletion of your personal data
object to processing
request restriction of processing
request a copy of your data
lodge a complaint with a data protection authority
Because VertiRoll does not require an account and does not collect directly identifying information, we may not be able to identify data related to a specific user without additional technical information.
